Year in Review: The Texts, Calls, and Emojis of 2020

2020 has been a year. Nobody could have predicted back in January what was coming, but this year highlighted once again why everyone needs access to reliable phone service. Let's take a look at the year in review.

We all spent more time at home in 2020... and we spent A LOT of time on our phones.

How much time? For starters, TextNow customers spent more than 5 BILLION minutes talking on the phone this year. That adds up to almost three and a half million days spent chatting.

We were even more prolific texters. There were almost 10 BILLION text messages sent through the TextNow app in 2020. That’s more than a million texts sent every hour - or 350 per second!

Emoji of the Year

For a year like 2020, words weren’t always enough. We all had to up our emoji game, and we’re happy to report that TextNow users managed to find a little ‘joy’ this year.
