Did you know that only 25% of computing jobs are held by women? That number drops to 5% for leadership positions.
At TextNow, we live and breathe our values, and we’re proud of our culture of diversity and inclusion. That’s one reason we’re so excited to attend Women Impact Tech in San Francisco on March 5th. WIT is dedicated to celebrating innovation and inclusion and will bring together the top 1,000 female engineers along with the most advanced companies in the Bay Area.
Another reason: two of our engineering leads - Christine Templin and Helen Poon - will be on a panel to talk about their careers, rising through the management ranks in a traditionally male-dominated industry, and how we can bring more women into leadership positions in tech. They’ll also discuss some of the exciting technical challenges they’re tackling to help TextNow bring phone service to everyone for free (or as close to free as possible).
We believe that we’re better when we’re all working together, and we’re looking forward to meeting with like-minded engineers in San Francisco!
You can get more information about Women Impact Tech here, you can learn more about us by perusing our culture manual, and if you’re already attending the conference make sure to stop by our exhibition to say hi!
